How Impulsive Hamster handles your account, financial records and app activity.
Effective 10 September 2026
Who operates the app
Impulsive Hamster is a personal finance tracking application operated by Ilya Kozlov (“we”, “us”). Questions and privacy requests can be sent to ikkagency13@gmail.com.
Information we process
- Account information: your email address, account identifier, display name when provided, and the authentication provider you choose. Google Sign-In's bundled privacy manifest also declares phone number and coarse location for app functionality; the app does not ask you to enter a phone number or request iOS location permission. Firebase Authentication handles password authentication; the app does not store your password itself.
- Your records: income, expenses, currencies, categories, notes, assets, goals, tasks, reminder settings, and exchange rates that you enter.
- Purchases: product identifiers, purchase and entitlement status, and transaction identifiers. Adapty processes these anonymous events for subscription and paywall analytics. Apple processes payment; we do not receive your full payment card number.
- Technical information: Firebase and Adapty may process account or device identifiers and diagnostics required for sign-in, synchronization, subscriptions, security, and reliability. Adapty is configured not to collect IDFA or the user’s IP address.
- Notifications: local reminder settings remain on your device. The app does not register for remote push delivery.
Receipt scanning
When you scan or select a receipt, Apple Vision and VisionKit recognize it on your device. The app uses the result to suggest the amount, date, currency, merchant, and category. Impulsive Hamster does not store or upload the receipt image. You can review and edit every recognized field before saving.
Services and storage
- Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore (Google) provide sign-in and account data synchronization.
- Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In provide optional sign-in methods.
- Adapty processes subscription and paywall events in observer mode.
- Apple StoreKit processes in-app subscriptions and restores purchases.
- Apple iCloud automatically stores a private backup after data changes when you are signed in and iCloud Drive is available.
- Apple notification services deliver notifications you allow.
A JSON export is created only when you request it and is saved to a location you choose through Apple’s file interface.
Why we use information
We use information to provide the app, maintain your account and subscription, synchronize and back up your records, protect the service, answer support requests, and comply with legal obligations. Where consent is required, including notifications or camera access, you may refuse or withdraw it in iOS Settings.
No tracking, sale, or advertising
We do not sell your personal information, use it for cross-app tracking, or use it for third-party advertising. Information is shared only with the providers listed above as necessary to operate the app, or when required by law.
Retention, export, and deletion
We retain account data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service or meet legal obligations. You can export your records as JSON from the app.
To delete your account and synced cloud data, open Settings → Data → Delete account and all data. You may need to sign in again before deletion. Impulsive Hamster also removes its app-managed iCloud backup snapshot during deletion. Deleting the account does not automatically cancel an active Apple subscription; it remains manageable in Apple ID settings. JSON exports and other files you explicitly saved remain under your control and may need to be deleted separately. You can also request help by email.
Security, rights, and children
We use platform security controls and access rules intended to limit each user’s access to their own data, although no electronic system is completely secure. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, restrict, or object to processing. The app is not directed to children below the minimum age for consent in their country, and we do not knowingly collect their data without required authorization.
International processing and changes
Our service providers may process information outside your country and apply the safeguards required by applicable law. We may update this policy when the app or legal requirements change; the current version and effective date will remain available on this page.
